Alumni Learning

Library Card

SOAS alumni are entitled to free reference and discounted borrowing membership (£60 per year) of the SOAS Library where they can enjoy one of the most extensive collections of academic works on Asia, Africa and the Middle East in the world.

To order an alumni reference or alumni borrowing library card please apply here, by submitting all the information required and email a photo to libenquiry@soas.ac.uk. An online payment will be required for borrowing cards. A few days after you have submitted the application form, the Library will be in touch, to let you know when your card is ready to be collected at the Library information desk.

Online Journals

SOAS is proud to offer JSTOR and Project Muse access to alumni, providing free access to hundreds of academic journals. You can view articles online and download or print out PDF files. Make sure you are signed up to the SOAS World Website, then click this link to access the e-journals.

SOAS Connect

Network, connect and mentor using SOAS Connect - an online community exclusively for SOAS alumni and students. Share contact and career details, expand your professional network and find an alumni mentor or mentee. This could include anything from exchanging a few emails or checking a CV, to arranging a video call or meeting face to face.

SOAS London Group

We are pleased to announce the formation of the committee for the newly re-established SOAS Alumni Group in London. With over 40% of SOAS’ global alumni community based in London, this group will aim to connect those living in the capital and throughout the UK, through networking, volunteering and events.
